According to a claim in the Turkish media, Besiktas could look to sign former Chelsea forward Demba Ba to replace Cenk Tosun.
Tousn has been linked with a January move to Tottenham Hotspur, and this week the Premier League side spoke to Besiktas with regards to the Turkey international.
Haberturk have reported Besiktas may look to bring Demba Ba back to the club after his previous two spells with the Turkish champions. The Senegal international is currently playing for Chinese side Shanghai Greenland Shenhua, but last season had a brief loan spell with Besiktas.
The Turkish side are hoping to sign Ba on a free transfer, and as they look to partner him with summer signing Alvaro Negrado. Besiktas have also been linked with Tigres forward Andre Pierre-Gignac in recent days.
Earlier this week we covered reports from Turkey that Tottenham spoke to Besiktas, and Tosun was on the agenda. The London side reportedly held talks in Germany a few weeks ago with the father and agent of the attacker Senol Tosun.
It’s likely Tottenham would have to table an offer in the excess of €20m as Tosun’s value has increased after his performances in the Champions League this season.
