Tottenham could a €2m discount on Juventus youngster Samuel Illing-Junior, should they decide to move for him in the January transfer window.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who cover the rising interest in the winger today and how Spurs are ‘ready to bet on’ a move for him.
The website explains that Illing-Junior continues to find himself out of the picture at Juventus this season, with the performances of other players in his position meaning he’s not particularly needed by Max Allegri.
He’s gone from being a rising star to last choice for the Italian manager and that’s led him and his agency to looking around and considering their plans.
That agency, CAA Base, have strong roots in England and so that appears to be the ‘most accredited destination’ for the England U-21 international.
Tottenham are one of the clubs known to have an interest in him and have been credited as such in recent weeks, with numerous reports indicating they may be looking at him in January.
Indeed, it was claimed today that they were increasingly confident of getting him and not scared of paying what was required.
Well, that figure may be lower than first though as CM report that his valuation could drop ‘by a few million’ to around €18m in total.
According to them ,Tottenham’s interest is longstanding as they were ‘concrete’ in the summer and ‘tested the waters’ over a €20m deal.
Now he’s available for a little less, with it claimed that ‘London calls’ and Juventus are ready to respond and sanction a sale that could provide them with money they need to finance a major move in midfield and Tottenham with ‘yet another coup’ from Serie A.
