Despite Emerson Royal being the starting right wing-back in Antonio Conte’s plans at Tottenham, the Brazilian could end up elsewhere next summer.

After all, he has said so himself that he didn’t particularly want to leave Barcelona last summer and was quite flattered at the idea of Atlético Madrid being interested in his services.

That doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll leave, but in case he does, it appears Tottenham are considering Denzel Dumfries, currently enjoying himself at Inter.

The Dutchman was bought to replace Achraf Hakimi last summer, and has impressed since his arrival from PSV Eindhoven.

It could be a case of one season and sold, however, as Inter need money to balance the books this summer, and the right wing-back could be an option to make money.

Sport Mediaset, relayed by FC Inter 1908, claim that both Bayern Munich and Tottenham would be ‘in the front row’ regarding a summer transfer and are ‘watching him very carefully’.

That being said, Inter ‘would not let him leave for less than €35-40m, which would guarantee the Nerazzurri an excellent capital gain’, since they only paid €12.5m or so to sign him in the first place.

This backs up the idea reported by Tuttosport last week that if a proposal of €35-40m was made for the Netherlands international, it would ‘probably be accepted’.
