With rumours that Antonio Conte could leave Tottenham at the end of the season, as unfounded as they might be, it appears Spurs have been looking around just in case.
They aren’t the only ones, either, as Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also keeping an eye on managerial situations, especially in France.
We know this from RMC Sport, who explain the trio have been eyeing up Bruno Genesio, who is having a good season in France with Rennes.
Currently third in Ligue 1, the French side are exceeding expectations and battling for the second spot with Marseille, which Tottenham, Everton and Wolves have all noticed.
Whether any of those clubs will need a new manager in the summer remains to be seen, but it could all depend on where they end their current campaign.
Would Frank Lampard stay with Everton should they get relegated? Will Antonio Conte simply walk away from Tottenham if they don’t qualify for the Champions League?
As for Bruno Lage, while Wolves are eighth, would they want to keep him if Europe slips through their fingers?
Either way, RMC Sport explain that all three have ‘shown an interest’ in Genesio, who is represented by none other than Pini Zahavi.
Not only that, but Valencia, Real Sociedad and Al-Hilal are all on his case as well.
One to keep an eye on, but the idea for now is for Genesio to continue where he is, as he’s happy there.
