The claims made by the Telegraph saying that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping an eye on Bryan Cristante have made quite some noise in the European media.

The midfielder is loaned from Benfica to Atalanta, so both the Portuguese and the Italian press have had lots of stories since the story came out.

One of the most interesting articles comes from newspaper Record. Even though they don’t have any fresh information on Tottenham’s interest in the 23-year-old, they give a full picture of how the situation stands right now.

One of the most important things is that Tottenham probably won’t have to negotiate with Benfica. That’s because according to Record, Atalanta have already shown their intention to activate the €4m buying option, so it’s the Italian club who would deal with a summer sale.

Record still doesn’t seem to know how much Atalanta will demand for a sale, although it’s clear that it should be at least several times what they’re paying to get the player.

A reason for that is the competition that Spurs would be facing for the player. The newspaper claims Roma and Juventus are both interested in him, whilst Manchester United have been previously linked as well.
