Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in signing Sandro Ramírez from Málaga continues to be taken very seriously in Spain.
El Desmarque, reporting Sevilla’s chase for the striker, couldn’t avoid mentioning the Tottenham competition.
It’s claimed Sandro’s development has been impressing the Spanish side and his release clause, around €6m, is affordable for them. The problem for Sevilla is fighting with clubs like Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham.
El Desmarque say Villarreal and Tottenham are providing some tough competition, especially because Spurs already tried to sign the player in January. They mention the English club as ‘really going for it’.
After leaving Barcelona at the end of his contract last summer, Sandro has finally been able to prove himself in La Liga with the chance to get enough minutes. His 12 league goals for Malaga look like a pretty good level, especially for a 21-year-old still building his game.
Tottenham have been interested in him since his time at the Catalan club, and the next summer window seems to be perfect opportunity to get him for a cheap price. The challenge now is to win the competition.
