While a lot of clubs are set to recruit in Ligue 1 this summer, it appears Tottenham are keeping an eye on what goes on in the lower leagues, with a talent in Ligue 2 catching their eye.
According to Onze Mondial in France, the scouts sent out by Mauricio Pochettino have spotted 19-year-old Mickaël Ange Nanizayamo,
The defender made three appearances for Tours last season, including two starts, but spent most of his time with the club’s reserves where he was looked at by representatives from both Spurs and Crystal Palace.
The French magazine explain the two clubs came to watch him quite a few times over the course of the season, which the player is very aware of.
In fact, Nanizayamo is apparently starting to question whether his future is best served staying at Tours, where he is due a professional contract this summer, with his youth deal running out at the end of the month.
He could either do this with Tours, or, if the offers are far nicer (and likely will be), with either Tottenham or Crystal Palace if they come forward with one.
Onze Mondial also say the two Premier League sides are putting some pressure on his entourage to try and convince them either Wembley or Selhurst Park is the best place for him to develop.
This is, after all, a big decision for him, and a story that will very likely be revisited in the near future.
