According to TMW, Tottenham Hotspur are still showing an interest in AC Milan attacker Suso. The former Liverpool player has been linked with the Premier League side in recent weeks.
TMW today claim Tottenham are continuing to monitor the situation with Suso, as AC Milan look to tie him down. The Spaniard recently switched agents, and is now represented by Alessandro Lucci.
It’s been reported Lucci is in talks with AC Milan with regards to extending Suso’s contract with the Serie A side. The 25 year old still has two years remaining on his current contract, but Milan are said to be keen to secure his future with the club.
However, Tottenham are reported to be surveying Suso, and could make a move for the AC Milan player, if Erik Lamela leaves this summer. Lamela has been linked with a move to Inter Milan, and it was suggested last week in the Italian media Tottenham could move in on Suso to replace the Argentine.
TMW say Tottenham ‘insist’ with their interest for Suso, the club aren’t going anywhere, but it could be the Italian media who are more insistent than Spurs. Suso links makes some sense, with the Spaniard similar positionally to Lamela, but first the Argentine would have to go, and that would take some time.
Milan aren’t short of funds and wouldn’t let Suso leave for a bargain fee, which could dilute Tottenham interest.
