Parma’s Dennis Man has emerged as a surprise target for Tottenham Hotspur, according to claims coming out of Romania.

The 22-year-old can play as a striker or on the right wing, and it’s in the latter position that he played most last season. Having arrived in Italy in January of this year, the 22-year-old scored two goals and registered an assist in 14 Serie A appearances in the second half of last season.

Before that he’d played 18 matches for FCSB in Romania’s Liga 1 last season, scoring 14 goals and adding six assists. That brought attention from multiple clubs, and it was Parma who managed to get a deal done.

The hope was that Man could somehow save the club from relegation, yet they continued to have problems in attack and finished bottom with just 39 goals scored, the least in Serie A.

In one Serie B game this season, Man has one goal.

Tottenham are considering the player, report Sport.ro.

It’s claimed the Premier League side are ‘interested’ in the Romania international, ‘especially’ if Kane’s move to City were to materialise.

However, this isn’t a story built on Kane departing, and aside from his name being thrown in, perhaps for drama, the England international’s future doesn’t seem relevant.
