Fotospor claim Tottenham Hotspur are scouting Altinordu’s 16 year old centre back Ravil Tagir after they sent an official to watch him in action against Eskisehirspor last weekend.

The Kazakhstan born defender, who’s now playing for the Turkish U21 team, has been in impressive form for his club and country so far this season and this has led to interest from Tottenham.

Dubbed as the ‘new Caglar Soyuncu’ (a player currently at Leicester City), the young defender has also been watched by the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Paris Saint Germain, so Spurs could find themselves in a battle to sign him.

Tagir has less than a year left on his current contract at Altinordu, meaning he can speak to other clubs in the new year with regards to a pre-contract agreement. Any club taking take Tagir on a free transfer would have to pay training compensation to the Izmir based side.

Tottenham have been repeatedly in the Turkish press over the past week, following claims they’re interested in Fenerbahçe forward Vedat Muriqi.
