Tottenham Hotspur have included Eintracht Frankfurt’s Daichi Kamada in their target list, according to Bild.
The Japan international has managed 12 goals and four assists from 22 matches this season. However, he has failed to shine for his country at the Qatar World Cup.
His club form has seen him linked to a few Premier League sides, to which Tottenham have been added. Along with Spurs, Borussia Dortmund have the 26-year-old on their radar.
Bild state that top clubs are ‘putting out feelers’ for the attacking midfielder and mention both Antonio Conte’s side and BVB. These two sides are looking at him because his data is impressive as Eintracht Frankfurt have avoided defeat in 90% of the matches when Kamada has scored.
The player is out of contract next June and the German club are working to tie him down to a new deal. However, the renewal talks are stalling, and the current feeling is it will not be feasible to retain him beyond this season.
Kamada needs to make a decision on whether to remain loyal to his biggest supporter, Eintracht Frankfurt manager Oliver Glasner, or leave as a free agent next summer. He is currently on a holiday where he can think about his future.
The Japanese’s current market value is €30m and losing him for nothing next summer will be ‘extremely bitter’ for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Tottenham, for now, have included Kamada in their target list and are putting out feelers for him.
