According to claim in the Italian media, Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain is in danger of missing his side’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur next month.

The Argentine was Juventus’ standout player during the 2-2 draw with Tottenham on Tuesday night, but the Serie A champions may be without him on March 7th.

Calciomercato have reported Higuain is in a race against time to be fit for the Champions League second leg at Wembley in three weeks.

The former Real Madrid player sprained his ankle in today’s Turin derby, and despite attempts to get him back on the pitch he had to be taken off just three minutes into the game.

Juventus will now evaluate how serious the injury is, but they will be anxious he’ll not be ready to play against Tottenham.

This will come as a boost to Tottenham, as it was Higuain who scored Juventus’s two goals, and could have quite easily netted four.

Juventus are struggling to make the quarter finals of the competition with Tottenham having two away goals, but their task could be made much harder if they don’t have their key player available.
