Tottenham are interested in a move for Fiorentina winger Riccardo Sottil, according to Calciomercato.

Spurs are predicted to continue their overhaul in the coming months, with Mauricio Pochettino certainly not happy with his current squad.

There is likely to be a focus on young players given the Argentine has made them a priority since arriving at the club.

Sottil could be one of the players they target, with Calciomercato.it saying that Spurs have ‘already approached’ the 20-year-old over a move.

Should they want him, they will have to move quickly, with Sport Mediaset stating Fiorentina are keen to tie him up to a new contract, despite the fact his current deal doesn’t run out until 2021.

It’s not mentioned whether Tottenham’s interest is the cause of this, but it seems the Serie A side are concerned they could lose the forward and are trying to protect themselves as much as possible.

Sottil has risen through La Viola’s youth ranks, racking up 31 goals and 15 assists for their Primavera side before making the step up to the senior team.

He’s yet to score for them in six appearances, but his rise appears to have caught the eye of Tottenham nonetheless.
