Earlier today, Globo Esporte reported Fluminense have contacted Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison over a deal for the January transfer window.

There was no mention of the 27-year-old or Tottenham’s stance on doing business with the Brazilian club.

TNT Sports in Brazil now brings the latest on Richarlison and Tottenham’s stance for January.

The forward previously had a spell at Fluminense, and they have an intention of bringing him back to the club to strengthen their attack. That won’t be happening, at least in the next window, because of both the player and Spurs.

The Brazil international doesn’t want to leave Ange Postecoglou’s side, more so because he’s set to become a father. In addition to this, the North London club have no plans to let him leave next month, even on a loan deal.

Richarlison ‘wants to remain’ at Tottenham and Spurs ‘don’t intend’ to negotiate his exit, and this will certainly not please Fluminense.

The South American’s contract lasts until 2027, and injuries have restricted him to less than 200 minutes of action from seven games this season. He picked up a hamstring injury in November and has been on the sidelines since then.
