Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are in the picture for AS Roma’s Roger Ibañez, according to Giallorossi.net.

Roma chief Tiago Pinto wants to collect €60m from sales and he aims to achieve it by selling two players.

The centre-back is one of them, wand he’s received interest from several clubs, especially in England. This is when both Tottenham and Newcastle are mentioned.

The Premier League duo, along with Atlético Madrid, are looking at the 24-year-old. It’s claimed these three sides are ‘making concrete moves’ to secure his services in the next window.

Last weekend, Spurs and the Magpies had their scouts at the Stadio Olimpico, when José Mourinho’s side suffered a 2-0 defeat to Inter Milan. The centre-back played the full 90 minutes for the Giallorossi.

Roma have set a €30m valuation for the Brazilian and this is what Tottenham, Newcastle or Atlético would have to pay, if they want to sign him in the summer.

Tottenham and Newcastle interest in the player isn’t new. Last September, claims from Italy stated they had made ‘more than one enquiry’ for Ibañez.
