Tottenham are showing an interest in Barcelona Miralem Pjanic, with the Catalans hopeful of a sale ‘within days’.
That’s according to Sport, who say the midfielder is being ‘fast-tracked’ out of the door and Tottenham are interested.
The newspaper reports that the Bosnian midfielder ‘has a huge market’ this summer and his priority is to return to Serie A.
Former club Juventus are keen to bring him back on a two-year loan, but they have asked him to adjust his salary to make room for him.
Inter Milan and AC Milan have also sounded him out, but it seems Pjanic would only go back to Italy if it was with Juventus.
Tottenham ‘have also been enquiring’ about a loan ‘in the last few hours’ through their new sporting director, Fabio Paratici.
He worked alongside Pjanic during his time in charge in Italy and is clearly keen on a reunion, although seemingly only if he can get him on loan.
That is presumably what the recent contact has been about, but with Barcelona hoping to get rid as soon as possible and Paratici’s links to the player, this could be one to keep an eye on in the coming days.
