Fanatik report big clubs in Europe, including Tottenham Hotspur, are set for a transfer war to sign Eljif Elmas from Fenerbahce.

Elmas scored the decisive goal for the Yellow Canaries during their derby draw with Galatasaray on Sunday and Fanatik say he impressed scouts with his performance.

Tottenham, Lazio, Fiorentina and Zenit officials were reportedly at the game to watch the 19 year old.

It’s also reported the four interested clubs will test Fenerbahce’s resolve with official bids before the end of the season. Again, Elmas’ valuation is quoted as being €20m, as reported in the Turkish media in the past week.

Last week we covered a claim from the Turkey press that Tottenham are very close to signing Elmas from Fenerbahce for €20m as the London club look to strengthen their squad in the next transfer window.

Tottenham are ‘preparing to take action’ and are expected to submit an offer before the current campaign ends.

The Turkish media often get overly excited about interest in emerging players, and there’s also often agents at work trying to build deals to then present to clubs such as Spurs.

Elmas has scored 2 goals for Fenerbahce this season and he’s under contract with the Istanbul club until June 2022.
