Clinton N’Jie arrived at Tottenham last summer in a €17m deal from Lyon, but has failed to make an impact at the North London club.

The 22-year-old missed most of the season due to a knee injury, and failed to find the back of the net throughout the campaign.

According to a latest report from Sunday’s edition of French newspaper L’Equipe, Marseille are interested in signing the Cameroon international.

Marseille and Tottenham are in negotiations over Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, and the Ligue 1 club expressed their desire to take N’Jie on board.

L’Equipe say Marseille have in the past few hours negotiated with Tottenham a loan deal with the option to purchase N’Jie. The player is yet to meet Tottenham to discuss his future at the club, but Marseille seem confident about completing a deal.

Marseille are in a rebuilding process, and N’Jie could be one of the many signings this summer.
