With Harry Kane still the subject of negotiations between Tottenham and Bayern Munich, at least when Daniel Levy isn’t on holiday, there is work being done for a potential replacement.
That man appears to be FC Porto’s Mehdi Taremi, who has been negotiated by Spurs and the Portuguese side over the past weeks.
It’s recalled by A Bola that Tottenham have ‘advanced with force in recent days’ to get the Iran international, and already have the ‘agreement with the player’.
They ‘want to pay €24m’ for the goalscorer, but the Portuguese side are ‘asking for at least €30m’ to let him go.
However, it’s pointed out that Tottenham aren’t the only ones fighting for Taremi, as Inter Milan are also on the case after giving up on the pursuit of Romelu Lukaku.
Therefore, there is competition for Spurs, although when it comes to financial strength, we all know who would win that fight.

The 31-year-old scored 31 goals in all competitions last year spread out over 55 appearances, and also helped his teammates out with 14 assists, proving that he can be relied upon both in the finishing and creating of chances.
