Tottenham Hotspur interest in Bas Dost is real, reports Bild on Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier today we covered claims from Algemeen Dagblad, which stated Jose Mourinho has ‘shifted his focus’ to the Eintracht Frankfurt striker.
Spurs were said to have a ‘serious interest’ in the 31-year-old, as they desperately look for Harry Kane support.
Bild have picked up the claims and say, according to their own information, that the interest is genuine. It’s not just ‘loose interest’ either, according to the German newspaper.
The Premier League club have ‘actually already asked’ about signing the Dutchman. Bild don’t make it clear whether Tottenham have asked Frankfurt, or instead contacted Dost’s entourage.
Regardless, it’s stated the player is happy at his current club, knows manager Adi Hütter counts on him, and is not seeking a move elsewhere. Frankfurt are also content with the situation, feeling Dost can have an even better season than his last one.
That makes things sound difficult for Mourinho and Spurs.
