Manchester City interest in AC Milan’s Tijjani Reijnders has been one of the major transfer stories in the Italian media this week.

Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo reports on Reijnders today and states there is now ‘total pressure’ from Manchester City when it comes to signing the midfielder.

Longo said that talks between the two clubs have taken place and City strongly expressed their desire to move for the Netherlands international.

It remains to be seen how much interest the former AZ Alkmaar man will show towards Manchester City, but Milan could be tempted by the sale if amounts start to reach the levels of €70m and over.

The report states there’s a growing feeling of tension among AC Milan, who perhaps feel they’ve seen this movie before that a valued player could be about to leave the Serie A club. Should that be the case then the bright-side is they’ll have a much bigger transfer kitty in the summer window.
