Mesut Ozil didn’t feature for Arsenal again this week, with the player being unable to get himself ready for the match against Huddersfield Town.
In 2019 he’s only managed two appearances so far, totaling in around 100 minutes and not a lot of highlights. A bit like Alexis Sanchez up at Manchester United, the German has seen his output drop off a cliff after getting the biggest contract of his life.
Last year there were repeat claims of Arsenal offering the player to other clubs ahead of the January transfer window, and according to Calciomercato similar is happening again now.
The Italian website claims that in ‘recent days’ the player has been offered, via intermediaries, to Inter Milan. It’s in view of a summer transfer, and it’s claimed to be the second time he’s been offered to the club in recent months.
Inter weren’t interested in a winter market move and they’re not interested in a summer transfer either, report Calciomercato. That’s because of the player’s high salary and a ‘very disappointing performance for years now’.
Ozil has completely lost the confidence of Arsenal’s manager, with the report saying there’s ‘total disruption with Emery’.
