Liverpool were strongly linked to Porto’s Ruben Neves last season, but nothing really materialised. The Portuguese midfielder has a release clause of €40m in his contract, and it appears no club is willing to risk big money on him yet.
According to report from Italian website Calciomercato, Serie A giants Juventus are keeping close tabs on the 19-year-old, who has already made 79 appearances for Porto.
Calciomercato say Liverpool, along with Chelsea, are also keen on the midfielder, whilst his agent, Jorge Mendes, is trying to find the right solution for him. Mendes is currently ‘finding solutions’ for the player’s future.
It’s reported Juventus are in no rush to sign Neves, as they’re not convinced enough yet about the player. The Italian website don’t mention any offers yet for Neves, but expect him to sign for a European club in the not too distant future.
Chelsea and Liverpool certainly have the money to sign the Portuguese midfielder should they genuinely be interested in him.
