Paul Pogba has failed to consistently deliver for Manchester United since returning to the club from Juventus in 2016.

Last month, the Red Devils exercised the option to extend his contract until 2022.

The 27-year-old has been frequently linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with Real Madrid and Juventus regularly cited as the clubs interested in acquiring his services.

Pogba admitted in October it’s his “dream” to play for the La Liga winners, while the Old Lady reportedly maintain an interest in the France international.

On Wednesday, Juventus director Fabio Paratici talked about the possibility of bringing the United player back to the club.

“Right now, he is a United player. We are sixth in the league and third [second after yesterday’s win over Ferencvárosi] in the Champions League. It is very early to think about the transfer market,” Paratici told Sky Italia, as quoted by Calciomercato.

“We love Pogba very much, one of the great ex-players who has given us so much. He’s a great player, but it’s too early to talk about the transfer market. We are focused on building this team and season.”

Paratici only stressed it’s “too early” to discuss bringing the World Cup winner back to Turin, but he hasn’t categorically denied the possibility of Juventus signing Pogba in the future.
