Former Gunner Aleksandr Hleb has spoken to the Italian media about his future, and has jokingly told them ‘tomorrow I’ll sign for Arsenal’.

Speaking to TMW, the 37 year old was asked what lay ahead of him, and whether he’d continue playing: “Tomorrow I’ll fly to London and sign again for Arsenal. Seriously now I’m taking a break but it’s clear that I still feel like a footballer, so I will evaluate the offers.”

Hleb spend three seasons at Arsenal, and became a key player in Arsene Wenger’s side. However, his performances brought him to the attention of Barcelona, which led to him signing for the Spanish side in 2008.

Arsenal are currently 13 points off the top four places, and winning the Europa League looks to be the London side’s best chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

Wenger’s side go into the game off the back of four straight defeats, and will face an AC Milan side rejuvenated by Gennaro Gattuso.
