Steve Mounie will sign for Huddersfield Town on Thursday, report L’Equipe.

The French newspaper say Mounie, 22 years of age, will be signing a four year contract with the Premier League new-boys, and it’s believed the deal will cost Huddersfield €13m plus bonuses.

There had been some disagreement on the fee between Huddersfield and Montpellier and it seems adding some bonuses to the €13m has done the trick for the English club.

On Tuesday the same French newspaper reported the striker was set to arrive in Huddersfield in the next ‘few hours’, but they pointed out that loose ends still needed to be tied up to complete the deal.

That was down to the financial agreements between Huddersfield and Montpellier, but as far as L’Equipe are concerned that’s all sorted out now.

In France it’s believed that Mounie will suit English football, given his size, strength, and speed. The youngster now has the chance to test that theory with Huddersfield.
