Juventus’ chase for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is finally having some developments, according to claims from Italy.

Il Bianconero today writes that the parties are now ‘closer’, and ‘this time we could be there’.

First speaking of Højbjerg himself, it’s claimed that he’s ‘considering’ a transfer because of his few minutes on the pitch under Ange Postecoglou this season.

Tottenham are now said to be ‘open’ to the idea of a loan, but would rather make a deal that includes an obligation to buy.

It’s Napoli and Juventus who are the front-runners for Højbjerg, and the Blue side apparently don’t want to be forced to make the purchase. That’s why it’s the Bianconeri who ‘remain alive’.

Il Bianconero state Old Lady manager Massimiliano Allegri made it clear that Højbjerg is his favourite choice, ahead of Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips, so the club should indeed focus on the Tottenham player.

The transfer now depends on the talks between the clubs, and the more open Spurs are to the move, the more confident Juventus have been getting.
