All players in Fulham squad are obviously delighted with the promotion to the Premier League, as they’ve just guaranteed a place in the top flight for the next season.
So it’s no different for Rodrigo Muniz, who joined the Cottagers on a €8m move from Flamengo last summer, and after only one year, will already have the chance of playing in the elite of English football.
During the celebrations last night, the 20-year-old had a word to the Brazilian media to speak about the achievement following a sensational campaign in the Championship.
“The happiness is so big. We worked hard to pursue this goal, we had been living this expectation throughout our excellent campaign and we got the promotion,” Rodrigo Muniz told Goal.
“Now it’s time to celebrate, because I will be able to fulfill the dream of playing in one of the most important competitions in the world.”
Rodrigo Muniz also talked about the good time he’s having in English football and the improvement he’s been able to have since joining Fulham last year.
“It’s been a sensational experience in my career. I was able to evolve a lot in this time here, I learned a lot with the coaching staff and with my teammates and it’s certainly been something very cool.”
In his first season in London, Muniz had five goals in 25 appearances for Fulham, starting most games on the bench and being mostly used late in the games by manager Marco Silva. The youngster’s contract with the club runs until 2026.
