Either Joao Mario lives his life by Katy Perry’s “You change your mind like a girl changes clothes” lyric, or the Italian media aren’t 100% sure what’s going on regarding his supposed loan to West Ham.

On Monday, Gazzetta dello Sport reported the Portuguese midfielder had rejected all offers put in front of him, which included the Hammers’.

On Tuesday, we’ve got a whole new angle, with the very same newspaper stating a meeting will take place today between the two sides in order to sort out a free loan, with West Ham paying for all of Mario’s wages.

Furthermore, the Premier League side will be able to buy the Portugal international at the end of the loan if they so wish, with a clause (numbers unknown) said to be included in the deal.

This comes after claims from Tuttosport earlier on Tuesday stating Joao Mario should give his answer to West Ham in the next 48 hours, with Inter allegedly interested in Pedro Obiang being included in the deal.

The tide appears to have turned in David Moyes’ favour, for some reason.
