Fiorentina continue with their efforts to sign Giovani Lo Celso from Tottenham Hotspur, and there’s hope the move could advance this week.
The Argentine spent the second half of last season on loan at Villarreal and enjoyed a good period with the Spanish club. They’re thought to want him back this summer, and to have the preference of the player, but haven’t been able to come to an agreement with Spurs and don’t look close to doing so.
Such a situation has allowed Fiorentina to move forward more strongly and La Nazione report, via Fiorentina.it, that a meeting is set to be held with the player’s entourage this week.
It’s stated ‘Thursday could be the crucial day’ as this is when La Viola chiefs will meet with Lo Celso’s representatives.
Fiorentina ‘strongly want’ the player and it’s explained they’ll work hard to get as close to Tottenham’s requests as they can, likely including bonus payments related to their success this season.
No figures are mentioned and, as ever with Serie A sides, this is where issues arise.
