Anthony Martial last made an appearance for Manchester United in their 3-2 win over Arsenal at the start of December.
Since then, his agent has revealed the forward wants to leave Old Trafford in the winter market.
The 26-year-old has been left out of the squad in recent fixtures and Ralf Rangnick stated the Frenchman didn’t want to be included in the match day squad to face Aston Villa in the league at the weekend.
Martial has insisted he didn’t refuse to take part.
Sport claim the ‘break is total’ between Rangnick and the player as the latter tries to force a way out of the club this month. There’s now a complete ‘divorce’ between the two men.
Sevilla came forward to take the former AS Monaco on a loan deal, which also included the La Liga side taking care half of his salary until the end of the season. United rejected the offer as they wanted Julen Lopetegui’s side to pay his full wages and also a loan fee.
The newspaper claims the situation between Martial and the German could see United ‘substantially lower’ their demands to let the player leave this month.
Barcelona are in the picture and the report’s title says they ‘do not lose sight of Martial’. Within the report, it’s claimed Xavier Hernández’s side, along with, Sevilla and Newcastle United ‘do not lose track’ of the Frenchman.
The Catalan club are ‘very aware’ of the outcome of Ousmane Dembélé’s contract talks [deal expires in June 2022], and that could have an impact on any approach for Martial.
