The agent of Watford midfielder Roberto Pereyra has told the Italian media his client is only thinking about the Hornets at the moment but still has ambitions to further his career.
Pereyra has been linked with a return to Serie A with the likes of Napoli and Torino.
Speaking to TMW, the Watford player’s agent was asked about interest from the two Italian clubs: “The interest from prestigious clubs is obviously a pleasure, but now Maxi (middle name) thinks only of Watford, he wants to continue doing well with his team, but at the same time it is normal that every player wants to improve his professional condition.”
Pereyra has been in impressive form for Watford in this campaign after picking up a serious injury in his first season with the Premier League club.
The 27 year old has featured in all of Watford’s Premier League games this season and his displays have earned him a recall to the Argentina national team.
However, his performances have brought him to the attention to other clubs and a possible return to Italy after his time with Juventus.
With the Argentine contracted to Watford until June 2021 they aren’t under pressure to sell, but other clubs are likely to test their resolve in the coming transfer windows.
