Jhon Durán has insisted that nothing has changed for him since swapping Aston Villa for Al-Nassr in the January transfer window.

Noticias Caracol cover comments from the striker today made in a recent press conference in which he insists there’s been no major changes.

The 21-year-old left Aston Villa in one of the biggest moves of the January window, joining the Saudi Arabian side in a €77m deal at the end of the month.

That brought an end to a two year stay at Aston Villa in which he had established himself as one of the rising stars of European football with 20 goals in 78 games.

He’s made a flying start to life in Saudi Arabia, with six goals in eight games so far helping to justify the move.

The striker came in for plenty of criticism when he made the switch, with many questioning why he would swap the Premier League for the Saudi Professional League.

The obvious answer is for the money, with several reports making it clear how much he’s earning, with some even claiming a 1000% percent wage increase.

He has largely batted those criticism away and has continued that today, insisting nothing has changed for him from Aston Villa.

“Things have not changed since my time in England until now in Saudi Arabia,” he said.

“There are great players here and all the games are tough. The league here is difficult and beautiful.”
