It’s very clear, at least from reports around Europe, that Manchester United would ideally want Mauricio Pochettino to be their next manager.
Having dismissed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from the role following a bad 4-1 loss to Watford at the weekend, the club stated they would have an interim for the time being, but the possibility of getting the Argentine immediately would likely change that.
Talks between the Red Devils and Pochettino’s entourage have already been claimed, and with Paris Saint-Germain facing Manchester City in the Champions League, the manager was forced to face the media, where questions about his future were always going to crop up.
Ahead of the press conference, he had a quick chat with RMC Sport, who asked him about it all.
He said: “I’m happy in Paris. I know all this well, all my life as a player or manager, I’ve lived this type of situation. Things are happening, it’s not my responsibility. What I’m going to tell you, if you ask me, I’m happy in Paris”.
Paris Saint-Germain will now try and ignore all this, with the game against Manchester City key in their desire to reach the next round of the Champions League.
