During the second half of the 2018/19 season, Emerson Palmieri was the first choice left-back under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri.

His form has seen him draw attention from Serie A and there’s been talks about interest from Juventus.

The Blues manager is expected to be appointed as Massimiliano Allegri’s successor at the Turin club and claims suggest the Brazil-born Italy international could follow his coach.

Roberto Mancini started the former AS Roma man in Italy’s last two Euro 2020 qualifiers against Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Emerson played the full 90 minutes against the latter and after the match, Tutto Mercato Web spoke to the defender in the mixed zone.

One of the questions thrown at him was about his future. He responded by saying, “I have a contract with Chelsea where I am happy, especially after winning the Europa League. Apart from that, I have not received anything.”

When further quizzed if the Allianz Stadium would be his new home, the player said: “They all say that, but I am a very calm guy. I work and try not to think about these things.”
