For the past couple of days, we’ve been seeing several rumours regarding Liverpool’s interest in Schalke 04 defender Ozan Kabak, especially with suggestions that Divock Origi could be used in a potential swap.

Earlier today, we covered claims from Sky Germany which said this is a real possibility, and there’s chance for a deal in the January transfer window.

Now it’s time for the Italian media to bring a new take, as they’re pretty interested in this story, since Kabak is seen as a ‘dream signing’ for AC Milan as well.

Website Tutto Mercato Web managed to interview market intermediary George Gardi, who’s said to be working on the move and gave his opinion on how things stand so far.

“Kabak is a professional and is available to the club,” Gardi told Tutto Mercato Web.

“Should Schalke deem him indispensable for salvation, then he’ll be available. Otherwise what I can guarantee is that it’s not true, as has been reported, that Ozan has expressed any preference for one or for another championship.”

Asked if the defender would like to make the move to Milan, he said: “What I can say is that he has great respect for Milan.”

Then Gardi was directly quizzed if Schalke 04 have a pre-agreement with Liverpool for this swap with Origi, and he turned it down.

“Ozan has been talked about for years… It’s normal for a player of this type, with this profile, to have certain combinations but there’s no pre-agreement with any club.”
