Sunday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport insists that despite claims of transfer talks taking place, ‘there’s no open negotiations’ between Lazio and Sunderland for the transfer of Jobe Bellingham.
The Serie A side have been linked with Bellingham for a few weeks, and whilst there is some interest he hasn’t been their priority this summer and there’s other business they’re looking to do first.
Specifically, Lazio are working to secure multiple exits and it’s only if and when they create room that there would be an attempt to agree a deal for the Sunderland player.
Corriere dello Sport reports that there has been “surveys”, which will be contacting either the player’s camp or Sunderland to ask for general information, but that hasn’t yet progressed into anything more concrete.
There’s a belief that if Lazio did move forward later this summer that Bellingham would cost around €15m, and that’s seen as expensive due to the English market.
Tottenham are also credited with interest, but there’s no further information given on that.
