Valencia believe they made a mistake signing Max Aarons from Bournemouth in January, with the deal simply not working out.
That’s according to Marca, who report that the defender has been ‘frozen out’ at the Spanish club and has barely played 30 minutes since his arrival.
They explain that while Aarons has been in Valencia for two months, it simply hasn’t worked out. In fact, things are becoming difficult for both parties.
The Bournemouth loanee has barely played and of all the January transfers, he’s the one with the least minutes. This has led to ‘deep reflection’ on the whole affair.
Most at Valencia believe ‘there’s been a mistake’ because not only is Aarons not playing, but he also isn’t even in consideration for minutes. The question is how that has happened because Valencia didn’t sign him last minute, the deal with Bournemouth was not a rushed one.
It’s the latest blow for Aarons, who struggled to make his impact at Bournemouth and had hoped to bounce back at Valencia.
The opportunity was there too after the loss of Thierry Correira opened up a space in Valencia’s squad, but he’s been unable to take it and now everyone is questioning why he was signed.
