Southampton are one of the sides interested in St Pauli winger Elias Saad but will need an ‘offer worth millions’ if they are to secure his signature.
That’s according to BILD, who insist that Saad is very much on the list of potential targets for Southampton after scoring nine goals and registering three assists in 34 games for the 2. Bundesliga side this season.
Reports throughout this week have indicated as such too, with it even explained that Southampton sent scouts to watch the player in person ahead of a potential move.
BILD continue that today and say that while St Pauli don’t’ really want to sell him, ‘there’s always a pain threshold’ at any club and they are no different.
If Southampton or any other suitors want Saad, they would have to make an ‘offer worth millions’ to make those in charge of the German club think about a sale.
There’s no exact price put down, but Saad is locked to a deal until 2026 so St Pauli are not under any pressure to sell on that front either.
That’s not to say they won’t, but with plenty of interest in him it appears they plan to play the transfer game and get the best deal possible should Southampton or anyone else come calling.
