Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez has been no stranger to criticism since he joined the club, and the Uruguayan tends to brush it off and get on with things.
Despite the good work he does off the ball, the Uruguayan is sometimes found wanting with his decision-making.
Similar happened against Bologna in the Champions League on Wednesday evening as even though Liverpool won 2-0, Nunez didn’t really impress.
He missed a couple of chances and whilst he found the back of the net, he was clearly offside and didn’t hold his run in the right way.
La Gazzetta dello Sport note his performance to be ‘the worst’ for the Reds, as they note that the forward was ‘not very effective’ for Arne Slot’s side.
Corriere dello Sport also look at his showing at Anfield. Like Gazzetta, they too give the player a rating of 5.5.
They state that Nunez is always ‘on the edge of offside’ and they believe he doesn’t have much impact when he gets on the ball.
La Repubblica also have criticism for the ex-Benfica man, adding that he added ‘little substance’ to Liverpool’s setup, giving him a 5.5.
