Arsenal have constantly been linked with a move for Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic in the last few months and it now seems as if Newcastle United are also emerging as a credible candidate for the Serbian.
Vlahovic has scored 14 times in all competitions for Juventus but with his contract in Turin running out in the summer of 2026, uncertainties have emerged about his future.
While Thiago Motta has now left Juve, there was a feeling that the Italian didn’t see the striker as an important part of his side.
Journalist Francesco Di Giovambattista spoke to TVPlay about the Serbia international’s situation and he tipped Newcastle United to move for him.
He said: “Newcastle is the only one that can afford Vlahovic. He earns €12 million euros a season.”
Speaking further, Di Giovambattista also stated that be an effective replacement for Alexander Isak.
He claimed: “And the only way to go to England is for Newcastle to sell Isak, and then target Dusan.”
The 25-year-old has shown his goalscoring prowess in the last few seasons for Juventus and Fiorentina, he is a completely different player compared to Isak.
While the Swede is a complete striker, Vlahovic is more of a fox-in-the-box and thrives on finishing chances.
That is why tactically, it could be a problem for Newcastle United if the Bianconeri striker replaces Isak in the summer.
