Sporting Club de Portugal are concerned that Brighton and Hove Albion, Arsenal or Chelsea could soon make a €60m swoop for defender Ousmane Diomandé.

That’s according to A Bola, who report that the defender has been followed by Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Chelsea and Brighton in recent months.

Indeed, some of those clubs have been scouting the 21-year-old recently and the German giants already made contact in January to ask about the potential conditions of a deal.

Diomande is currently valued at around €60m, although his contract, which runs until 2027, includes a release clause worth €8-m.

Sporting intend to sign a defender in the summer, but they are not counting on the Ivorian leaving either. But ‘the alarm bells are ringing’ that he could as Brighton, Arsenal and Chelsea are all credited with an interest in him.

Diomandé, for his part, is focused on finishing the season with Sporting as they can win the title and the Portuguese cup.

The interest in him is there, though, and Sporting are preparing themselves in case any of the aforementioned sides make a €60m bid this summer.
