Nottingham Forest failed to sign Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush in the summer window.
The Reds made firm efforts at the end of last month. There were concrete negotiations between the two clubs, but the deal didn’t take shape.
The Bundesliga side are pleased the 25-year-old didn’t end up at Nottingham Forest. That’s at least what Bild are indicating now, after his impressive start to this season.
Marmoush joined the club on a free transfer in the summer of 2023. He finished his debut season with 17 goals and six assists and has four goals and three assists from five games this season.
Nottingham Forest offered €30m for the Egypt international in the last window. Bild claim ‘that’s a joke!’, believing he’s worth much more now.
The frontman wasn’t in favour of leaving the German club for Nuno Espírito Santo’s side. He’s pleased with his life at Eintracht Frankfurt and that convinced him to continue with them.
“The feeling I have here, especially with the coach, is indescribable. That just inspired me to stay here and concentrate on the task,” he said, as quoted by Bild.
It’s claimed Marmoush ‘continues to dream’ of the Premier League and his side ‘will not block’ a transfer in the future. The report insists the attacker will receive the ‘right offer’ from the ‘right club’, after snubbing Nottingham Forest.
