Likely much to the frustration of the French club, Liverpool are one of a number of English teams who regularly scout the youth sections of Lyon.

Some brilliant talent has come out of Lyon in recent years, as well as over the longer term, and the French club appear to be in a constant battle to keep their best youngsters in place.

Premier League clubs can offer very attractive financial deals to those in French football, but it’s also been explained in the country that sides such as Manchester City also go to great lengths to show a career progression plan, and that can be more tempting than piles of money.

Mohamed Bahlouli has caught the eye of Liverpool, report France Football, and the Reds and have gone ‘on the offensive’ for the youngster.

Bahouli is an 18 year old midfielder and France Football say Lyon have to worry because he’s being ‘tempted by the prospect of joining Liverpool’.

Lyon now have to ‘manage’ the case according to the claims, which means convincing Bahlouli that his career would be better served by staying where he is than moving to Jurgen Klopp’s side.
