It appears that Sheffield Wednesday are on the verge of losing a player in the coming days in the shape of Devis Vasquez.

That’s what Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting on Monday, as he takes to his website to reveal the news that the goalkeeper will be heading back to AC Milan.

He explains that ‘talks are underway’ between the Serie A side and Sheffield Wednesday to ‘terminate the loan’ of the 25-year-old.

It’s recalled the Colombian has not been used by Danny Röhl for ‘some time’, with Cameron Dawson the preferred option between the sticks for the Championship club these days.

Once the conversations between Milan and Sheffield Wednesday are completed and the player heads back to Italy, it’s explained the Serie A club will try and find him a new team where he can get some minutes under his belt.

Following his arrival in the summer, Vasquez started the first nine games of the campaign, conceded 16 goals in that time period and was then placed on the bench, never to come off it again.
