According to a claim in the Turkish media, Besiktas have stepped up their pursuit of Rangers defender Rıdvan Yılmaz.
There have been reports in recent weeks that Rangers could offload the Turkey international despite Philippe Clement starting him in the past six league games. He was also in the starting eleven for Rangers’ defeat to Manchester United last night.

The Black Eagles want to sign a left back before next month’s deadline due to concerns over the form of Arthur Masuaku. There have been claims of an offer for the 23-year-old in the UK media, but these reports haven’t yet been confirmed in the Turkish press.
Celtic defender Greg Taylor has also been linked with the Istanbul side in the past week, just to add a little more drama to the situation.
Another factor is whether recently installed Besiktas manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær will be interested in signing the Turkey international, or if the club will make that decision for him.
Yilmaz has made ten appearances for Rangers this season and is contracted to the Scottish club until June 2027.
