There’s been further updates from the Brazilian media on Arsenal’s chase for Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus.

In a story from UOL, it’s now claimed that Pep Guardiola’s side have set a price to let the 25-year-old move this summer.

It’s said that Manchester City are first demanding a fee of €60m for the player. And depending on how the negotiations go, the price would drop to a minimum of €50m.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are claimed to be an important contender for the signing, with UOL saying Jesus is a ‘strong target’ from the Gunners.

The report claims that there are talks ongoing, even though there has been no agreement reached yet. It’s said a meeting ‘between the parties involved’ was held in April.

At the weekend, Brazilian journalist André Hernan also talked about this chase. He claims the talks are ‘really happening’, saying the striker could end up being a ‘protagonist’ at the Gunners, something he could not do in his years at Manchester City.

According to UOL, Gabriel Jesus is eyeing a place in Brazil’s squad for the World Cup, and playing at a club who gives him more playing time is ‘seen with good eyes’ because of that. It’s also said he’d like to move in a deal good for all parties, leaving in a ‘friendly way’.
