For the past few weeks, we’ve seen Hulk being linked to Wolverhampton Wanderers, even though there was nothing clear coming from his home country Brazil.

Now there’s finally a report from UOL about his future, and they don’t seem very optimistic about a potential move to the Premier League.

The outlet writes that Hulk, who becomes a free agent in January, had been in negotiations to join Wolves in the winter window.

However, since the FA will have new rules for work permits, he won’t be able to get a visa. Mostly because he hasn’t played for Brazil in a while, and spending the past few years in the Chinese league won’t help either.

UOL claims ‘talks were going well’ with Wolves, but with this possibility now ruled out, he will need to look for other options.

Hulk has been heavily linked to Palmeiras, who continue to be in constant contact with his staff, but offers from MLS, the Middle East and Portugal could give him a better salary.
