Regional newspaper Olay reports Bursaspor are in talks with Newcastle United to sign Henri Saivet.
Bursaspor appointed Samet Aybaba as their new manager last week and Olay said the Turkish coach wants to be reunited with his former player.
The Newcastle United midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan with Turkish Super League side Sivasspor where Aybaba was the manager.
Saivet struggled to adapt to life in Turkey at the beginning, but eventually managed to find his feet, and became a key player at Sivasspor.
Olay say Bursaspor officials are in talks with Newcastle United over a potential loan move for Saivet and that the 27 year old is unlikely to be playing for the Magpies next season.
The Senegalese footballer featured in just one Premier League game last season and may need to find a new club this summer.
Saivet made 12 appearances for Sivasspor in the campaign and is contracted to Newcastle United until 2021.
