According to a claim in the Turkish media, Trabzonspor are interested in signing Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo.
Regional newspaper Taka have reported the on latest developments with Trabzonspor’s search for a central defender after Jan Durica, Tomas Hubocan and Ugur Demirok all left the Turkish club.
It’s claimed Trabzonspor are set to open talks with Chelsea over a loan move for Omeruo and their new manager Unal Karaman is keen to work with the player.
The 24 year old is set to feature for Nigeria during the World Cup and Chelsea may opt to wait until the end of the tournament before making a decision on his future.
Trabzonspor have also been linked with a move for Sunderland defender Papy Djilobodji, who had a brief spell at Stamford Bridge.
Omeruo has spent the past three seasons on loan in Turkey after two loan spells with Kasimpasa and also 12 months with Alanyaspor.
He still has two years left on his current Chelsea contract.
